Many insurance and risk management providers are good at reacting to client’s demands regarding their insurance requirements, however, many businesses are better served by dealing with a specialist provider.

This is something of particular interest to Ryan Insurance Group and we have therefore developed the Shipping and Logistics Division.

In order to achieve this goal, a great deal of work has gone in to negotiating enhanced and exclusive insurance facilities along with staff recruitment and training. The objective is a simple one; to provide expertise within an environment that clients find efficient, straight forward and reliable all at a price that is palatable.

Using a specialist provider brings a number of advantages to a client, for example, just talking the same language enables much more efficient risk placement and claims management. The division is very focused on understanding the nature of a client’s needs and following a claim has the sole objective of reinstating the position or getting a vehicle back on the road as a matter of urgency.

To support this strategy, we have recruited staff directly from this industry to over deliver on expectation. The view is to nurture customer relationships and be perceived as the virtual insurance department of any businesses in this industry.

At the same time as delivering on the core insurance business, we are also partnering a number of other professionals who can offer specialist advice by forming the Shipping and Logistics Support Alliance (SaLSA). The Alliance allows members to differentiate and enhance their customer proposition and provide clients with a broader base of professional services should they need it.

This is a very exciting and proactive development for us and demonstrates that we want to strive forwards even in these difficult economic times.
