Colchester Business Awards

The “Determination, motivation and passion” of Colchester businesses was celebrated at an awards ceremony at Charter Hall on 28th November 2008.

More than 600 guests from the Colchester business community cheered as winners from 28 companies picked up prestigious Colchester business awards.

There were also three individual awards – for businessman, businesswoman and young entrepreneur of the year – and four highly commended awards.

Tim Ryan, chairman of the judges, of Ryan Insurance Group, told all the finalists: “The awards celebrate the success of the Colchester business community and the spirit of enterprise, which plays a vital role in the economic vitality of our town, particularly in these difficult times.

“Much of this success is down to the sheer determination, motivation and passion that everyone has for their business and this is something to be celebrated.

“All of this is helping to make Colchester a vibrant place to live, work and do business.”

He congratulated all finalists and sponsors, and the judges “who have put so much time and energy into the tough job of deciding between all of the excellent entries”.
