Red Nose Day Fundraising

Ryan’s staff are doing their bit again this year, raising money for Red
Nose Day.
One of the easiest ways of raising money in an office environment is by
making it a dress down day. The only provisos made to staff were that they
wore something red and made a £1 donation for the privilege. For those who
did not participate, they were fined £3! They were also offered the chance
to enter the official Red Nose Day Scratch card Sweepstake for an extra
£1.
Some staff organised a Fairtrade coffee morning to raise money, baking cakes,
biscuits and pastries, selling these to staff, together with speciality
coffees.
Others organised an auction, allowing staff to bid for an extra day’s holiday.
Whoever bidded the highest by the end of the day won the extra day, bids
started at £25.
Tim Larke Personal Lines Manager said “It’s difficult in an office environment
to come up with good money raising ideas. Just because we work in an office,
it doesn’t stop us from raising money for worthwhile causes. We hope to
raise in excess of £200 at the end of the day”.
