A few points to remember

• Please gather as much information as possible from the scene of the incident and report the incident as soon as possible
• Do not admit liability
• Try and get the names and addresses of any witnesses
• If you can take photographs of the accident scene if at all possible
• Send any letters, summonses, writs and notices you receive to us immediately

Important information
From the 30 April 2010 significant changes to motor claims processes came in to effect, meaning insurers have just 15 days from claim notification by third parties to make a decision on liability. Immediate and effective notification of all accidents (fault and non fault, no matter how minor) is now even more important.

During office hours, please contact your usual dedicated team.

If you have an emergency outside normal office hours, you can contact your Insurers via their Help Line, please refer to your policy booklet for details.

If temporary repairs are needed to prevent further loss, you should arrange for them to be done immediately. Please keep any bills as they may form part of your claim.

You should not proceed with non-urgent repairs until we have obtained authorisation from your insurers.
